A fun-filled weekend!!

Here is a picture of Remy riding the carosel. It has become our tradition after he gets his hair cut!

Such big eyes!

Here are a couple of pictures of us out 'trick-or-treating'! It was so much fun to see Remy excited. He doesnt like chocolate and so most of his candy is not of interest to him... which means it will be donated to somewhere out of our house very soon!!!! Thanks for helping us with Remy- Edgar, Alicia, Anissa and Samantha!! We had fun with you!

Here is a picture of my brother Jesse and his family, wife Sarah and sons Noah and Joshua! We can't wait to see them at Christmas!!

PUMPKINS!

This past weekend was such a blessing! Edward and I took Remy to pick out his pumpkin. He absolutely had a blast climbing all over the pumpkin patch and splashing in every mud puddle!! After our softball game we had a bbq and carved the pumpkins with Alicia, Anissa and Jayda. We have such great friends in our life! Remy loves his cousin Jayda so much!!!

Thank you Edgar and Alicia for sharing in the fun!

We also had a great time watching Edward and Edgar play basketball this last weekend. In no time at all Remy will be out there with them!

FUN!

Happy Fall... It is possible that I am trying to over-compensate for the fact that I dislike when the weather turns nasty, in any event, we have been trying to make every day an adventure. Last weekend Remy, Samantha and I spent the morning at the park (with a couple layers on!!) lasting all the way until the severe downpour began. After that we headed to the party supply store for streamers and balloons. After Remy's nap, we decorated the kitchen as if we were having a party!! It is nice to wake up each day with streamers and balloons to greet you!

The other evening we played with address labels for over an hour! Remy and I decorated his face, his coloring book and he even pretended he was a dinosaur! I will post those next!

So... I do love the ever-green of the state complimented beautifully by the changing leaves in red and orange, and I really appreciate the moisture in the air. BUT I find that I have a constant need to focus on the unique beauty of the Northwest and appreciate that the rain is a neccessary ingredient in God's balance or I become downheartened with the weather during these months!!

It is important both for my happiness and for the childhood of Rem, that we focus on the joys that make life wonderful. Tonight we are having friends over for a Banana Split Party. I love his face when he delights in something new and MESSY! Stay tuned for those pictures!!

Visit with Dad & Bonnie

Dad and Bonnie are making a trek across the western part of the United States and we were blessed to be one of their stops!!! We had the most wonderful visit with them this last weekend! We went to the Glass Museum, not only was the art was amazing but we were able to watch them actually make goblets!! Then we visited Northwest Trek a huge park with Bears, Wolves, Moose, Big Horned Sheep and so much more! Remy kept calling out "ANIMALS" when we were on the tram, hoping for them to come out into the open!

We also had dinner out on the patio at Salty's on a beautiful warm night... to us in Seattle, Bonnie was still cold:)!!!! We had the opportunity to take them to our church and spend a day at the softball fields, we ended up taking 2nd in our league after we lost the championship game!!

Needless to say, we are already missing them and Remy keeps asking for his Papa Paul and Grandma Bonnie!!! Thank you both for coming to see us, it was such a special visit!!!

Also, you will note in the pictures that Remy has yet another cast!! He was pushed by one of the kids at his daycare and braced his fall onto the concrete by outstretching his arms... and broke his wrist. The doctor says that having two breaks this close is just a fluke and he does not have a vitamin deficiency. Please pray for another speedy recovery (and that he won't injure me anymore when flayling his arms around to convey his excitement!)!!!

Nikki & Ryan's Wedding

Summer Parties

It has been a summer full of weddings, bridal showers, birthday parties, softball games, going away parties :( & bbq's.

Here are a few pictures from our cousin Shannon's wedding!!

Here we are after a water fight that ensued after an evening BBQ!!
These two are from a night at the ice skating rink!

Dad and Susan came to Seattle for Edward's cousin, Shannon's wedding. They live in Minnesota and we don't get to see them nearly enough so it was such a blessing! We had bbq's and went to the wedding at the beautiful Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo. It was a blast!! And we miss them already!!
Here we are at Nikki's bridal shower, she is such a beautiful woman and friend.

I can't wait to see her as a bride!!!!
