Remy's 2nd Birthday

Happy Birthday Remy!!!!

We had a wonderful turnout this year and the weather was great (unlike his party last year!!) Edward did a fantastic job manning the bbq, while the kids played in the yard with their squirt guns! We all enjoyed Remy's gluten-free cake from "Haley's Corner", a GF bakery in Kent. It was amazing! Thank you to everyone who attended for making this such a joyful occassion! Your love, support and generosity are grately appreciated!

We still have a bit to go but we had to delay the completion of the job to CELEBRATE Remy's 2nd birthday. I will post those pictures next!

Demo Day 2 & the beggining of the Tile!

It has been 4 days and we still have a bit of work to do but the end is in site! It should be all ready by Remy's party this weekend! It is fun to learn how to do new things and we have had a great teacher in our friend Clay....But hopefully this will be our last tile job!!

Demo Day 1

This 1st picture is the day we initially looked at the house... We already removed the wood burning stove. So the following pictures are from last night when we started the demolition of the current flooring. Right after we moved in the tile started cracking and the grout began coming up and smearing on the tile and carpet. It seems as though they cut all of the possible corners when installing the floors, and under the tile we found another layer...vinyl flooring!!??!! Next we will (with help!!!) install the new tiles. I will post those pictures as soon as possible! Edward and I have vowed to never do this again but we are enjoying the experience together as always!

Summer Fun

I thought I would put some updated pictures of our family participating in our favorite summer activities. We have been spending most of our time working in the yard, playing softball and having awesome BBQs!!!! We are ready for more sunshine and even more outdoor activities! Hope you all can join us!

Tribute to my GAL PALS

I have been very blessed to have tons of great, great women in my life. Here are just a few recent pictures of the fabulous ladies that fill my days!! THANK YOU to the women who encourage me when I lose perspective... make me laugh all too LOUDLY... make me sing songs about dinosaurs... make me jump over fences in my business suit!!... make me cry (especially during 'the notebook')... make me go jogging when I don't want to... make me dye your hair and pluck your eyebrows... make me spend ENTIRELY too much on paper products!!... to all of you for helping me make the most of being a Momma!!.. and for always reminding me of what is important in life - loving others and seeking joy in everything. I adore you all!

Play Time

Here are a few pictures from last weekend (updated). Remy and I had a fabulous morning at the park and then a play date at McDonalds! He is so active and full of energy! I am enjoying the experience of being so playful with him, it just lifts my spirits and makes everything seem more manageable. Praise God for little boys!

Easter

Our church holds what is called a 'flashlight egg hunt' on the Friday night before Easter... well I was a little hesitant to participate with a 21 month old!! So this year we took Remy to a friend's church for his Easter egg hunt. Fortunately, we went on Saturday when the sun was out, Easter Sunday turned out to be rainy and cold! There were a few different egg hunts, all in different areas, so that all of the kids were able to participate. The toddler hunt was in the children's big toy play area and the eggs were all just sitting there on the bark. Remy picked one up after much prodding, and then said 'catch' and threw it like a ball! He is developing quite the 'arm'! He is a true joy to watch and love!

Trip to Vegas

Last month we made the trek down to Las Vegas for a full on family reunion! It seems as though most of my family is being lured by the southwest's warm weather! I now have 3 siblings that live there in Vegas! We had my -Hannah's- 3 little sisters and 2 of my big brothers and their families, all of my parents, and grandmas there for the good part of a week! We had the opportunity to meet Morgan's boyfriend, Stephen and best friend, Alicia. We were also able to have our best friends Dan and Melinda fly down for the weekend. It was one of those completely packed vacations that you need to come home and rest afterwards! Here are a few pictures from our trip! Here is the whole lot of kids and their kids! We are multiplying!!
