Trip to Vegas

Last month we made the trek down to Las Vegas for a full on family reunion! It seems as though most of my family is being lured by the southwest's warm weather! I now have 3 siblings that live there in Vegas! We had my -Hannah's- 3 little sisters and 2 of my big brothers and their families, all of my parents, and grandmas there for the good part of a week! We had the opportunity to meet Morgan's boyfriend, Stephen and best friend, Alicia. We were also able to have our best friends Dan and Melinda fly down for the weekend. It was one of those completely packed vacations that you need to come home and rest afterwards! Here are a few pictures from our trip! Here is the whole lot of kids and their kids! We are multiplying!!

Remy's Cousins!!

God has blessed our growing family with so many little ones! We have had the awesome opportunity to visit all of Remy's cousins within the last year! They are all getting so big!! Here are a few pictures taken over the last 6 months. For those who live far away, we can't wait to see you again soon!

Halloween 2007

Here we are at Remy's first 'dress up' Halloween party. We had all our friends and family over for a fun night of games and food! Remy looked so adorable as a monkey!! Edward and I had blast dressing up, normally we don't do anything for Halloween but it was fun to have a gathering at our new house.

Happy 1st Birthday Remy

Remy turned ONE on June 19th 2007! Even though it was June - it was COLD!!! We had a BBQ and invited all of our close friends and family. The kids played so hard on the park toys that Remy fell asleep before he could even open his presents! It was wonderful! The time is sure flying by!

Hawaii

When Remy was 10 months old, we all went to Hawaii! It was the first time for all of us and we had such a great time! The pure beauty of God's creation can be seen in one of their amazing sunsets! After a few attempts to get Remy in that gorgeous ocean, he didn't ever want to get out! We were there on my first Mother's Day and I was blessed with a fabulous dinner at a beachfront restaurant! Thank you family!! We cannot wait to go back!

Arizona

In April of 2007 we took Remy on his first plane trip! We went to see my family in Arizona. We had the opportunity to go to the zoo with all of his cousins, go to Grandma and Papa's church, and listen to Papa play his guitar! We can't wait to see you all again! Remy anxiously awaiting the arrival of our plane, so he can see what all the fuss is about!!

Here is Remy walking at 7 months! From day one he has wanted to stand on our laps or pull himself up on whatever is near. He has great motor skills! Watch out world!!

Remy - 6mths

Here is Remy at 6mths! He is so cute! He is just starting to get teeth!! In one of the pictures here, he is in his suit just after his dedication at church. The Lord has blessed us with such a joyful, well-mannered little man. We take him everywhere with us so he is happy being around others and adapts well to new surroundings. We love being his parents!

Bear with me please, I want to get everyone up to date on pictures so I am including quite a few here. God has truly blessed us with Remy!! Just looking at his sweet face puts everything into perspective. And he is growing so fast!! He has started to teeth and has his fists in his mouth at all times. He is constantly smiling and now talks - in his own language of course!! He loves to hang out at Daddy's basketball games and watch Daddy and Mommy play softball- he just gets passed around the crowd and loves it. His hair grows really fast and is a massive pile on the top of his head, most of the time it is slicked into a faux-hawk. He loves to stand up on our lap and has really strong legs. Since we have a hard time putting him down, his 15 minutes of tummy time per day has not resulted in him rolling over. We figure he might just start walking one of these days and skip the rolling over or crawling!! We are enjoying every minute of our lives with him.

Remington Shae Garcia

Praise the Lord!! Here is our son!!! Remington "Remy" Shae Garcia was born on June 19th at 10:35pm. He weighed 7lbs 13 oz and was 19.5 inches long. He is so precious and has a full head of dark hair. We are enjoying every minute with him!

8 month picture

Here is my 8 month picture and a picture from our baby moon last weekend at the Ocean. We went to Ocean Shores and had a wonderful time walking the beach, relaxing at the hotel and eating out!! I am starting to notice more difficulty when tying my shoes- but other than that things are still going great. I am getting a little anxious to see his beautiful face though! I can hardly wait for next month to come. It is incredible how much he still moves around in there, my stomach often takes on odd shapes as he twists and turns. Every time my stomach contracts, he feels the tightness and kicks at the same time because it is squishing him! It makes for an enjoyable couple of minutes!!!! Well- only one more monthly picture and then we will post a picture of REMY!!
